Orange Is The New Black season 3 doesn’t hit until June 12 and the Netflix series already got an early renewal for it’s 4th season. The show’s renewal came the promotion of Jackie Cruz’s promotion to a regular cast member. The overall positive feedback of the show’s fans of Jackie’s Flaca Gonzales character has been huge since the day she made her very first appearance on the show.

One thing that many might not know about Jackie Cruz is that she actually a talented singer and song-writer. The moment I discovered Jackie’s music I immediately became a fan.  She is a refreshing alternative to the current style of pop music currently out there. Jackie Cruz is sexy and seductive and her music just flat out fun with her lyrics being as powerful as her interpretation. Jackie says that she finds her musical influences in Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello, Billy Holiday, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Tracy Chapman, Fiona Apple among others.

In May of 2010 she released her debut EP titled “Hollywood Gypsy”. Two singles and  with each having their own music videos spun-off of from the EP.  One being “Your Love” and other “Like a Drug”.  Then, in September of 2012 right before being cast in Orange Is The New Black Jackie released the single “One of Those Days”.
