Truko “El Dueño de la Musa” is a young rapper from Caracas Venezuela that has ripping stages apart with smooth, fun and witty rhymes, but his music isn’t always happy and fun. Truko explains that there has to be a balance, “immediately once the novelas come to an end at 9 O’clock, the news comes on.” So is his music. Perhaps one of the things influenced his unique rap style a very young with Latin dance music, specifically music that was coming out of Puerto Rico. He discover a strong passion for merengue, reggaeton and eventually rap music.

In 2002 Truko found himself being awaken to the internal political problems of Venezuela.  He is quoted saying “Presidents don’t change a nation; people change it.” do not change. Although he takes some political commentaries  in his music, he finds a balance of respect with all sides. He speaks through his music, but his goal is to ultimately make people think and decide for their own.

Truko has released three albums to date. His first release is pretty much a compilation of recordings; songs that vary in styles and with no specific musical or philosophical direction. His first full studio album “Trucos” came in 2010 and is his most politically changed album to date. The album released in conjunction with a production company called Muzik Revolution. in 2012 he prepared his 2nd studio album taking a completely different approach in both lyrical and production styles. TruKo states that novelas are so big in Venezuela, that he took their style of story telling and incorporated that into his music.

Last Week TruKo released his new single and music video “Horario Supervisado” I found myself really enjoy the song.
