[Spanish Rap-core] La Flor del Lingo is Back with New “Estoy Bien” Single & Music Video

After a few years of building hype, doing random shows and appearing and disappearing again from social media La Flor del Lingo has returned, but this time they bring new music and they bring it loud. The new single is titled “Estoy Bien”  This time around La Flor just wanted you to know that their vibe is chill, relaxed and  they’re enjoying themselves making music again.

The story of La Flor begins in the mid 1990’s, when a number of performers became international renown names within the Spanish Rock movement.  The movement exploded and it was loud! Latin American bands became stars, some of these bands include pop-rock acts such as Santa Sabina, Café Tacuba, Fobia, Caifanes (now Jaguares), Julieta Venegas, ska band Maldita Vecindad, and synth-pop group Mœnia. Control Machete, Delasónica and Molotov explore rap/rock fusion also known as rapcore, with lyrics containing social commentary mixed with urban vulgarity. The most popular Mexican rock group during this period was Maná.

Then there was the La Flor del Lingo; A rapcore band from out of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico who although La Flor didn’t have same international impact that bands like  Zurdok, Molotov y Control Machete, but they played a important role in the underground.  La Flor del Lingo helped design the sound of an entire generation. Their debut album “Gualalupe Flava”, was released of August 1998 and is my amongst my favorite Spanish rapcore albums. The album was produced by both Control Machete’s Toy Selectah and Micky Huidobro of Molotov.  The album took longer than normal to produce and record, due to the albums producers being busy with their own bands, whom were at their prime during this time.
