[Spanish Hip Hop] La Banda Baston Celebrates 16 Years of Making Rap Music and Releases A Best of Vinyl Record
The Mexico City based rapper Muelas de Gallo and DJ/Producer Dr. Zupreeme form the one of today’s most important Hip Hop duo La Banda Baston. The group today has a leading role in Mexico’s national scene and they’re celebrating their sixteenth year anniversary and they’re bringing down the Lunario National Auditorium in Mexico City on August 2nd.
The group is originally from Baja California Sur, but relocated to Mexico City 10 years ago. In recent years La Banda Baston has turned into a national favorite hip-hop acts. They are one of Mexico’s underground pioneers, helping create the national rap and hip hop sense along with groups like Caballeros del Plan G, Cartel de Santa, Control Machete and a few solo artists like Sekreto among others. The group’s current album release is instilled “Todo Bien” and is available now on all the digital stores, including iTunes.
The festival will be the culmination of years of work and effort. They have a show full of surprises that will not disappoint not only their fans, but rap fans in general. The icing on the cake will be a vinyl compilation featuring best of songs highlighting La Banda Baston’s career.
