The Los Angeles, CA based, Texas raised MLKMN has just released his new single and music video “R.I.P.” which features Mila J. This is the first cut off of MLKMN’s next album titled “Soy Milk” which is sure to spiral across all major entertainment outlets early 2016. MLK has been one busy guy. He was recently seen performing at the 2015 BET Experience, as well as being featured on Bud Light and Vans promotional material among many others.

For the “R.I.P.” music video MLKMN and Katalina Viteri re create the 2006 Tyrese and Meagan Good Hollywood blockbuster Waist Deep. In the video the two stick up a Los Angeles diner wearing a panda and a rabbit ski mask. The video is directed by Michael Garcia for Crazy Hood Film Academy and produced by Angie Martinez for MeccaLani. R.I.P. is MLK’s best music video to date and really shoe cases his style and creativity.

Last year Universal Music’s Machete Music imprint re-released MLKMN’s debut EP entitled “The Milktape” which spun off two music videos. One being “El Bajo” featuring Eptos Uno from Mexico and Poeta Callejero from the Dominican Republic. The second video was “Bounce” produced by the Texas native El Dusty. Then earlier this year in June MLKMN’s 2011 EP “Fresvo”. The EP was quickly build a buzz throughout the music industry because of MLKMN’s new school sounds. The EP’s title track “Fresco” would end up landing a featured spot on the Rockstar smash video game Grand Theft Auto V.

MLKMN isn’t s overnight night success, but he has been working his way up in the racks for years. MLK has the ability to re create his sounds and is always one step ahead of fashion and styles  Long before before establishing himself as a solo artist MLKMN build a name for himself  by forming part of the Toy Selectah’s production team where MLKMN took lead on many projects. He produced Mexican underground rapper Sekreto’s debut album and lead single “Mas Que Hablar” which received massive rotation on Mun2. But nothing would pave the  path for him launching and marketing himself as an artist like producing and co-writing with such artists like 3BallMTY and She’s A Tease landing to numerous singles at the top of Latin Alternative charts not only in Mexico, but across Latin America and the US.
